Home and Community

We live in the State of Virginia. Our home is a single family home. We live in a Suburban neighborhood. We have one or more dogs and one or more cats .

Parenting Experience

We learned a lot through our training with Bethany Christian Services. We have enjoyed raising our kids and learned to parent each child differently to help them be who they were created to be. We incorporate our faith into our raising our kids, as well as additional resources when needed. We have know kids can be challenging but they are our highest joy and calling and adoption was never " plan B", it has always been our plan.

Support

My mother Adrienne Collett lives in the home, I have a sister close by and a church family, I also have great friends in the same city for encouraging words and support. Tricare is our insurance and we have the support of the best therapist in the city, Dr Paige Huff, through Christian Psycho therapy.

Motivation to Adopt

Loyalty and perseverance are lost traits no days but our family employs those traits and believes that once a commitment is made, our new family member deserves the same loyalty as anyone who has ever been here. We are aware this may be challenging but I know this is what we are suppose to do. I have the empty feeling the same as I did before I had my son. I didn't know him but I longed to know him and I feel the same way about our future son. He belongs here, and we would be honored for him to choose to love us in return.
