We would like to adopt a single child or sibling group of up to 2, boy(s) and/or girl(s) between ages 0-10.
We are hoping to adopt a child or children who enjoy swimming, riding bikes, camping, going to the beach, jumping on the trampoline, and trying new things! We encourage our children to stay active and get involved in sports, dance, and school activities.
We understand the importance of a child's birth family and their history and that a child needs to know where they came from in order to be confident and comfortable with who they are. We are open to contact with the birth and/or foster families as long as it is safe and in the child's best interests.
We are a very active family and on the go, so a child who is medically fragile would not be a good fit for us. We are open to a child with mild to moderate medical issues, learning issues, and behavioral challenges
I'm Candace, 43 years old.
I enjoy horseback riding, water parks, swimming, riding my bike, planning parties, and cooking. I'm a girly-girl who likes to sometimes get pampered, but I also like to roughhouse with my boys and play in the dirt! On my days off work I like to volunteer in the kids' classrooms and get involved in school activities and fundraising.
My wife is Casey, 34 years old. She likes to play football, go to the beach, swim at the river, fish, and hike. She has a passion for coaching youth sports! She also spends time volunteering in the school classrooms and is on the PTA.
Wyatt is 9 years old and he is in the 4th grade. His favorite subjects in school are Math and Reading. Wyatt loves all sports; mainly football. He has a very outgoing and passionate personality. There isn't an activity he won't try. He loves Mexican food, playing wall ball, Leggos, video games, roller coasters, water parks, & swimming!
Sawyer is 6 years old. He is in Kindergarten, and likes playing with his friends and recess. He loves to be outside at the park or on his bike. He has a very sincere, kind personality, and loves to give and receive affection. Sawyer is a little more cautious and careful than his big brother. He loves peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, playing with action figures & Bionicles, being read to, playing games, watching transformers, swimming, and going to the beach!
As a family we enjoy camping, going to the beach, hiking, water parks, and family activities at home or in our community. We love to celebrate holidays!; annual Easter Egg Hunt, Christmas ornament decorating, Halloween cupcake decorating and trick or treating, Thanksgiving gatherings, 4th of July BBQ's & picnics, birthday parties. We frequently entertain friends with children for Sunday Football, pool time in the back yard, and summer BBQ's. We are huge Seattle Seahawks fans and enjoy going to games or have friends over to watch at home when we can't make the game in person. We also enjoy family movie nights and eating out on occasion.
We live in the State of Oregon.
Our home is very spacious, clean & cozy. As you walk into the front door we have a family room with large windows that lighten up the room. As you walk through the entry into the open kitchen, dining and living room area. Our home has an open floor plan so it is very welcoming. Downstairs has one bedroom and one bathroom & off the dining area there is a stair case that goes upstairs to three more bedrooms & two bathrooms. There is also a loft area for room to play.
We live in a newer neighborhood, with lots of children and great families. There are many parks, and a community pool. There are great youth sports programs; T-ball, baseball, wrestling, football, basketball & dance.
Our city has ten elementary schools, two middle schools, a traditional four-year high school and an alternative secondary school. Several schools in the district offer bilingual English/Spanish programs. The city is also the home of a large Community College, numerous private and parochial schools, and a public library. There are many local events that happen throughout the year. There is a farmers market every weekend, county fairs, fresh produce stands, & a new library.
We are raising two children. We believe in structure, consistency, and lots of love. We want the best for our children and for them to be happy, successful, and have good morals. We want our children to feel confident, loved, and supported in whatever interests them.
We completed a Foundations training series.
