Family Description
We have a nice 4 bedroom 2.5 bath home, two dogs, chickens and full of love! We own a restaurant which is a lot of fun. We take trips often to see places and visit family and friends. We do family dinner with our immediate family in our town every Sunday night. We love family activities such as games, coloring, building things, snow sledding, riding quads, fishing, camping etc. Megan has a super flexible schedule with our restaurant and Richard is the general manager of the local hardware store and is off nights and weekends.
Preference Description
We are looking to adopt a girl or boy from newborn to 14 of any ethnic background. We are willing to accept minor or medically correctable conditions.
The Parker Family Profile
We are looking for children who are seeking a fun, loving and caring mom and dad. Whether it's an only child or multiple siblings, we are prepared and ready to grow our family. We will be more than happy to help facilitate past relationships as well as grow new ones.
Introduction
We own a fun little burger restaurant in our hometown that Megan runs. Richard manages the local hardware store. We are huge on family, always doing family dinners and activities. We love to travel to visit other family and friends. We play games often and like to color and build things. In the winter we love to play in the snow and go sledding. In the summer we spend most weekends floating or swimming in the rivers and lakes. We also love camping and riding quads
Home and Community
Sunriver is a great little small town. Neighbors are friendly and supportive. We get a lot of snow in the winter, and have perfect summers. We have a dance studio our nieces do dance at, a very nice school that's k-8th, and several other fun activities to enjoy. We live 5 houses down from the national forest and love to ride our quads or take the dogs for a walk in the woods.
Parenting Experience
We have 3 nieces in our life that we love spending time with. Justus, Jadyn and Jasper, 12,10 and 4 respectively. They spend a couple nights a week with us, and we always have so much fun. We play Uno, draw, sing sings, read books and color. We help with homework, get the kids to softball, dance and horseback riding. We are like second parents to them in a way, and are there for them through good times and bad
Support
We have a great support group out here. 5 houses down is Richard's mother and step father. Best friends live at the end of the street, Aunt and Uncle live around the corner. Sister and 3 nieces live 3 miles away. Megan's family visits several times a year for weeks at a time. We have day care place lined up should we need it. Community friends and neighbors have all volunteered to help out as well.
Motivation to Adopt
We knew we wanted to be parents the moment we met. We have tried for years and haven't been able to on our own yet, but we know we want to be parents so we've decided to adopt. We aren't stopping trying on our own, but we want to start our family We have adopted cousins and relatives in our extended family, and hold a special place in our heart for them. We welcome the opportunity for us to start our family in our home.
