Family Description

Our names are Renee Selden-Andradre and Isidro Andrade-Tafolla. Renee is currently 32 years old. Isidro is currently 49 years old. We do not yet have any children together. We are a bi-racial couple and family. Renee is energetic and always try to enjoy life. Renee enjoys having a good time with family and friends. She enjoys trying and learning new things. Renee is a big fan of music, fashion, and dance. Laughter is one of the best medicines and she enjoys laughing and making others laugh/smile. Renee works as a Director of Human Resources and works full-time with a flexible schedule. Isidro goes by Chilo and is very patient, friendly, and has a big heart. Chilo loves Soccer and his family. Chilo has worked and served the community that we live in for the past 20 plus years and is a youth soccer coach for kids ranging 5 to 18 years old. Coaching children allows Chilo to use one of his best skills; patience and spends a lot of time teaching children technique and skills for on and off the field. When we are not working, we love spending time with our family, friends, and doing activities. We also love food! We enjoy cooking, going to restaurants, and trying out new foods and experiences.

We are looking to adopting a child between the age of 2 and 10 years old, of African American/Hispanic background. We are willing to accept mind/minor or medically correctable conditions.

We would like to adopt a child between the ages of 2 and 10 inclusive. We are open to boys or girls. We feel we can accommodate a sibling group of up to 2 kids. Our family consists of our two daughters (Cynthia and Bianca), son (Niko), and our little dog Jai. Bianca and Cynthia are adults and do not live with us and Niko lives with his mom.

Home and Community

We live in the State of Oregon. Our home is an unknown kind of home. We live in a Suburban neighborhood. We have one or more dogs . We live in a two-story 3-bedroom, 2.5 bath home in Hillsboro, OR. We have a backyard with a fire pit and cozy seating. We like to spend time out there by the fire and sharing stories. We live in tight knit community with friendly neighbors and children of all ages. Our neighborhood is quiet and very open. We live within walking distance of the community schools in our district. We are close to downtown Portland, beaches, mountains, and many recreational parks.

Parenting Experience

Our daughters and son are Chilo ???? ???? ???? s biological children. He has raised them from when they were little and together, we raised his daughters during the early pre-teen and teenage years. We are both experienced with Children, not only with Chilo ???? ???? ???? s biological children but with children in our community, family and of our friends. We both come from homes with positive role models that helped shape us and our parenting style.

Support

We have a major support system that consists of family, friends, and co-workers. Not only are they our support system but are a big part of our everyday lives. We are very close to our extended family members who will love the child that we adopt fully accept the child as a family member.

Motivation to Adopt

We have been together for 10 years and married for 5. We have always dreamed of being parents together and to provide a loving family to a child or children. We both love children and know how children can bring much joy and happiness to a family. We both know that families are built in many ways, and adoption is one of the positive ways of uniting with our child. We are very comfortable with adoption and promise that we will love the child that we adopt as completely as if the child was born of us. We are so thankful for the opportunity to adopt.
