Family Description

We are the Gray Family, party of 5 normally, but currently a party of 6 (due to being blessed with our current foster daughter). We are a two-parent household in the suburbs of Dallas, Texas. We are hoping to expand our family by way of adoption, and would love to add a little girl. We love to travel as a family, have elaborate birthday parties for our children, and spend time with friends and extended family.

Preference Description

Introduction

Our names are Ceshia Alexander-Gray and Kermit Gray. I am currently 31 years old. My partner is currently 31 years old. We have 3 biological kids. Our children's names are Kahlin, Kruze, Kreed and they are 5, 3 and 2years old, respectively. Our children are of ethnicity.

I work full-time for Dallas ISD as a Test Coordinator and have a flexible work schedule. My partner works full-time for Dallas ISD as a Band Director and has a flexible work schedule.

Home and Community

We live in the State of Texas. Our home is a single family home. We live in a Suburban neighborhood. We have one puppy.

Parenting Experience

Both my husband and myself have worked with children of all ages for over 10 years. We have worked with summer camps, school, and with band programs & cheerleading organizations. My husband is a high school band director and I coach cheerleading. I also am the founder and director of an all-girls leadership development and self-esteem organization. We teach and encourage girls to be Confident, Compassionate, and Classic. I am a certified Special Education Teacher as well.

Support

Our family is supported by grandparents (on both sides), aunts & uncles, our childrens Godparents, and a host of cousins and friends. We attend church regularly and our children attend school outside of the home. Our children are learning to play instruments and will begin tee ball this spring. Our family loves to dress color coordinated and take pictures and make fun family videos.

Motivation to Adopt

We are ready to expand our family by way of adoption by adding a little girl. In order to make this new family work, we are willing to provide our children with whatever emotional, physical, financial and medical support they may need. We are also open to maintaining contact with our adopted daughters biological relatives. My husband and I make sure that we prioritize our children and offer them individdial bonding time each month. Our adopted daughter will also be afforded that same quality time. My work-schedule is flexible and allows for me to be available to my family when needed. As teachers, our children are also afforded the luxury of having their parents available to them at all times over the summer and on holiday and school breaks. We take a family vacation every year and are excited to add a little girl to those experiences.
