Yolanda is a very sweet child who is helpful to her caregivers. She enjoys running errands with her family and interacting with other children in the home. Yolanda is very talkative and likes building blocks with other children. She likes putting together puzzles, coloring, riding her bike, and watching TV. Yolanda is in a small class at school and does well. She also attends regular classes in choir and art. Yolanda does have outbursts at times, however after she calms down, her caregivers are able to redirect her. Yolanda requires frequent redirection and taking away of privileges due to her behaviors. She also does well with the use positive reinforcement and encouragement of appropriate behaviors and activities.
Yolanda will benefit greatly from a patient, caring, and understanding family who will provide consistent structure, boundaries, and affection. She tends to bond with a motherly figure. Yolanda will do well with a family who has medical knowledge, due to her medical needs. She will need on-going supportive services and time to adjust to her new home.
