Texas Children

We enjoy our time together but also like to do our own thing individually.

Rosa is able to express herself and assists with helping her brother communicate also. She will often answer for her brother Nathaniel and can be very outspoken in a kind and helpful way. She likes to joke around with her brother and laugh and make him laugh. Nathaniel has a quiet and friendly personality. He is a very polite child. It is clear he loves his sister and has a good connection to all his siblings even those not being considered for adoption. Rosa and Nathaniel have strong feelings about remaining connected to their older sibling that is not considering adoption prior to his joining the military to follow his dreams. These siblings like to go to the park and play basketball together, go out to eat, and shop together. Nathaniel often plays video games together with his older brother on Nathaniel's Nintendo Switch or his siblings Play Station.

I like to just hang out, watch videos, and be with my brothers.

Rosa is an outgoing and vocal child. She is not shy about letting herself be heard. Rosa can be direct, but polite. She is very protective of her brothers while at the same time joking around with them in a friendly, teasing sisterly way. She is a social butterfly who enjoys using her social media accounts to keep up with friends and family. Rosa does well in school and she has aspirations of attending college in the future. Rosa has a close connection to her brothers and also with her siblings, who are not a part of this adoption. Rosa is learning skills such as cooking and organizing her schoolwork to help her become successful in her future.

A family with experience who will guide Rosa into making good choices as she moves forward into her young adult years will be beneficial. She will want to remain connected to her younger brother and will need guidance on how to navigate and create firm boundaries with biological family members who she maintains a connection to. A family with a mom and dad would be preferred and siblings would be fine with Rosa.

I like to hang out at home or a park, binge watch our shows and laugh and cut up with my siblings.

Nathaniel is a very kind and well-mannered boy. He enjoys playing games on his handheld gaming device and he does well in his classes at school where he has made friends. He does best in smaller learning environments where he can have more one-on-one help. He has a quiet and friendly personality and he is a very polite child. He struggles with expressing himself verbally but is working hard to improve his language skills. He is loving and can bond and show affection to people he is close to. He is especially bonded to his older siblings John Paul and Rosa and they all get along very well together.

Nathaniel's forever family will be willing and able to advocate for him now and as he becomes a young adult. Keeping him connected to his siblings as they move on into their next chapters will be essential for him to feel happy and secure. A family with a mom and dad would be preferred and siblings would be fine with him.

A family who would help with assisting youth stay connected to a sibling that is aging out and leaving care for military life would be a plus. The children are interested in a family who has a mom and a dad. A family who is confident and able to help the children set firm boundaries regarding contact with their biological family will be a benefit for the children. These siblings will benefit from a family who has experience or willingness to learn and advocating for the children’s needs.
