Texas Child

"Food tastes better when you eat with your forever family."

Geneira is a sweet youth who is friendly and laid back. She is very loving and a joy to be around. She has an outgoing, positive personality and can be talkative at times. She is mature for her age as she helped raise her younger siblings. She volunteers at an animal shelter, where she is the happiest. Geneira loves to be around animals and is nurturing towards them. One of her favorite things to do is cook. She loves to help out in the kitchen and learn new recipes. Geneira is engaged with her Hispanic culture, especially when it comes to Hispanic Cuisine. She enjoys making Spanish recipes for her home which include enchiladas, shrimp ceviche, homemade tortillas, homemade chili sauce, and Spanish rice. In school, she is open to playing any sport as she loves to stay active. She also loves to sing and hopes to participate in the school’s choir.

Geneira wants to be adopted by a two-parent family. She would prefer to stay in Texas as this is the place that she calls home. She would also like to be able to keep attending her same school. The ideal family will understand and be able to navigate with Geneira through the dynamics of adopting an older child. The best family will be understanding and supportive of Geneira and her desire to continue communication with her biological siblings. She will also benefit from a family where Geneira will be the youngest sibling, as she was the parental figure to her biological siblings, and she needs to enjoy her childhood. The ideal family will be one that is active in family activities who spends a fair amount of time engaged in outings and events outside the home and who will provide her with plenty of structure, love, and guidance.
